Is the ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics with shared graphics memory any good?

I have a HP pavilion dv7 and im wondering if this built in graphic card has the ability to play some decent modern games... Call of duty WAW.. Please give some examples....

Would it let me watch HD movies?

Is it good in general?.. Thanks

it is becoming an outdated card that won't play many of the newest games well.

As far as hd movies and whatnot it will preform well with basic applicaitons, youtube hulu etc. but call of duty waw will not play all to well. at medium to low settings with most bells and wistles turned off you will be hhard pressed to play this game.

The hd 3400 mobile gpu is not a bad gpu, but it is about3 generations old. the gpu will play great with ollder direct x 9 games, so the colder call of duty games, left 4 dead, and half life 2 will play fine, but NOT Crysis, far cry 2 or fallout3.

Hope this helps clear things up a bit.

hope this helps you out some what

EDIT: forgot the link where I got it from

left 4 dead is not nearly as cpu/gpu intensive as oblivion. It will run fine. as for fallout i don't think that will run very good.

I do wonder how you got to run oblivion as this is a very bad card (i'm sorry to say). It's the equivalent of a 6600 geforce (no gt).

I couldn't run oblivion on my x1600 pro which is a slightly better card. I did try to run it on single core cpu of 3ghz. Outdoor setting slaughtered my system.

I guess your dual core gpu makes up for a lot of things.

If it can run oblivion on medium settings with a good framerate then it will run left 4 dead 1, 2 pretty good because those games are not as heavy as oblivion.

Fallout 3 will run too but on low settings.

Are you sure oblivion runs on medium settings in a outdoor environment because indoors and outdoors in oblivion is a whole other ballgame.
