Patch?

So, I know there's a patch released for the game. Yet, I don't know if I have it. Steam didn't launch anything when I started the game, and I don't know how to see if anything was done in steam.

 

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, thanks!

Yes I know, isn't it confusing? I did however notice steam downloading updates but they never distinguished themselves as patches. Supposedly there has been only one patch and yet I've seen steam downloading twice. *boggle*

I noticed that too! I found the description said it fixes some quests and scripts.... no patch notes?

Okay, after the game crashed (lol) I had to restart the computer. When I went to boot the game steam updated New Vegas. There wasn't any info in that either, lol.

Hehe, wasn't sure if mine updated at first either, you can always check by right-clicking the FalloutNV.exe, clicking Properties, and click Details at the top to see what version you have (assuming you have Windows.)

I have 1.1.1.271. I'm not too worried I'm pretty sure it updated fine. Just wondering why there were two..

Unless you saw it update, it most likely didn't. It took me opening my game a few times over the course of the night for it to actually do it. A steam window popped up and updated. It took a minute or so.

two downloads. I've seen it download a supposed update for NV twice. strange.

That's largely because... there are two patches.

 

I really should my plug my really-should-be-renamed thread about the patches over at General Discussion. Still, viva la lax checking by Valve to help get Bethesda/Obsidian make small patches quickly.
