I don't have a Data\Textures folder, etc

Hello,

I seem to have run into a bit of trouble...

Whenever a mod requires an .esp file the mods work fine because I can activate the mod in the "data files" section of the launcher.

But now I am trying to install a mod without an .esp, more specifically a HUD mod, which has to be extracted to the textures folder.

Problem is, I don't actually have a textures folder, when I go into my data folder it seems that all my files have been compressed in 'libraries', such as: Fallout - Meshes, Fallout - Textures, Fallout - Voices1, etc.

They are all listed as filetype: "Bethesda File Archive".

I used FOMM to open them and they appear to contain all the files that are normally placed into folders, such as with Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

My question is, how am I supposed to import the HUD mod? Or any mod without an .esp for that matter...?

If you have come this far: thanks for reading!

Regards,

Just create a Textures folder under the data directory.

If the mod is packaged correctly then you should just be able to extract to the correct spot and all the directories will be created for you.

Also, do NOT use FOMM for New Vegas addons. FOMM is for Fallout 3 only.

Yeah, I know that FOMM is F3 only, but I used it as an example, and it was useful for seeing what files were in there.

Anyways, extracting the mod and letting a textures folder be created in data doesn't seem to do anything, the HUD in-game stays the same so I'm guessing it doesn't work that way...

EDIT: nevermind, extracting it worked this time, I guess it had something to do with the "load loose files" option under Data Files in the launcher, could've sworn I enabled that the first time... Thanks for the reply Fraktyl

It's the manual way to install ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa which will allow all your new textures to override the original ones in the bsa.
