Smooth613
What do you mean by "reinstalling" meshes etc.? Just copying them from the original zip file? Correct. Make sure you place them in the proper directory. Oblivion\Data\Meshes

Make sure you place them in the proper directory. Oblivion\Data\Meshes Ok, it worked although at first I had only textures and meshes were still missing. I tried reinstalling meshes (didn't help) so I thought something like FormID Finder could clear things up (what exactly is missing). After installing that all meshes were suddendly there.... I hope the problem's really solved, I hadn't time to play so I couldn't go outside of the prison/caves. Anyway, thank you so much for helping me - maybe I don't lose my sanity over this after all  edit: Ok, forget what I wrote - at least the meshes for "Wisp Stalks" or something like that are still missing (and I guess that won't be the only one) - should I try reinstalling it again? Just one more, unrelated question: I want to install Unique Landscapes - do I need the compability patch or just when I install another mod? Smooth613
If you're still missing meshes then it seems to me you're actually missing the resource. Try downloading the Archive again, or a previous version then update to the newest by copying the new files in. Don't remove the old files, just paste "over" them, so to speak. And just double check you have updated Archive Invalidation to rule that out. You only need compatibility patches for mods you have installed that may conflict. Usually it's included in the documentation for either UL or any mod that may cause problems. So just when you install another mod.

Ok, that worked...now I thought I'd install "more immersive sounds" and Unique Landscapes (OMOD) which shouldn't be too hard. Unfortunately now some locations are missing on the map, like certain caves I've discovered or East Gate of Skingrad. Is this a known issue associated with any of these mods? If not, I'll just deactivate one mod after another so see which one is responsible (I would've done that already but I don't have a lot time right now). And if this (and reinstalling) doesn't work I'm going to reinstall everything. One question to the difficulty of OOO: I've read about how hard this mod is (I think those who said so referred to 1.3 and not 1.33). Is that still the case and if so is it odd that it didn't pose much a problem to clear the first cave (right at the start when you get out of prison and swim across the lake)? Just want to make sure I play the game the way it's supposed to be (I didn't change level rates or anything like that) Oh, and is there a way to solve the stacking problem in the inventory when you activate the "No Guild Ownership" -esp (or something like that)? WastelandAssassin
well, i can tell you about OOOs difficultyit makes the game really hard at lower levels, but rather easy at higher levels in most of the places in the start of the game, like forts and ruins, enemies would be around level 15, which makes it really hard for low leveled charactersbut once you are able to kill such enemies, than it becomes much easier, and you'll probably raise levels faster, since you can actually fight now..... that is how it was for me, at leasttry it, and see if it works for you
Smooth613
About the missing locations on the map. You may want to try and simply "discover" them again. UL relocates many entrances to caves and such. It's likely the map marker is also changed to accommodate this.
