Deleted4363562User
Sometimes in 3rd person I get a rectangular prism that follows NPCs around as if they were attached by some invisible, black magic. Does anyone know what this bug is, and how one goes about fixing it? Oddly, it only shows up when I view the world in 3rd person. EDIT: I added images. The 3rd image is with an ENB enabled. My load order is below the images. SECOND EDIT: The problem has gone away on its own. Again, oddly...I've experienced it before in the past with a fairly different load order. It always seems to occur around the time I get to Novac, and I want to say it goes away a few hours later, but I can't confirm that without testing. So if anyone gets a bug like this, just keep playing; it may go away entirely. You don't need to necessarily restart, or spend countless hours troubleshooting. http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot5.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot6.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot4.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot12.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot11.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot7.png http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i352/alloutwillie/Errors%20and%20Gltiches/ScreenShot8.pngFalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmLonesomeRoad.esmGunRunnersArsenal.esmClassicPack.esmMercenaryPack.esmTribalPack.esmCaravanPack.esmYUP - Base Game + All DLC.esmCaliber.esmCaliberXhonesthearts.esmCaliberXgunrunners.esmLucky38Suite_Reloaded.esmNVEC Complete.esmInterior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esmProject Nevada - Core.esmProject Nevada - Equipment.esmProject Nevada - Extra Options.esmJIP Selective-Fire.esmWeapons.of.the.New.Millenia.esmoHUD.esmProject Nevada - Rebalance.espProject Nevada - Cyberware.espNew Vegas Redesigned 3.esmGomorrah Redesigned.espDarNifiedUINV.espThe Mod Configuration Menu.espThe Weapon Mod Menu.espCASM with MCM.espftpcam.espFOVSlider.espProject Nevada - Cyberware Additions.espProject Nevada - Rebalance Complete.espProject Nevada - All DLC.espNVEC PN COMBO Patch.espWeapons.of.the.New.Millenia.CaliberX4+.Patch.espWeapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Leveled.Lists.esp1nivVSLArmors.esp1nivPNSLPatch.espCZ805.espbzArmour.espFlashlightNVSE.espNCRTrooperOverhaul.espCNR_Beta.espCourier Armor.espRealistic Equip Sounds.espED-E 3D Sound.espRWD-NV v1.3 [Alternative Version] [NoLimbsExplosions].espdD - Enhanced Blood Main NV.espJIP Companions Command & Control.espvault22FloralOverhaul.espOldWorldRadio.espJTmercgearlite.espDigital_Nightmare.espFNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting - ENB DLC.espInterior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.espILO - NVEC Complete.espCass alternate version.espNew Vegas Redesigned 3.espBashed Patch, 0.esp (ED-E 3D Sounds.esp & Digital_Nightmare.esp are merged into the bash patch)Zan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro_NV.esp

Deleted1205226User
There is a case of Sims_ification here! :blink:Sorry, I know it doesn't help, but it is so strange ...
luthienanarion
That's certainly strange. It looks like something that NPC has equipped there isn't rigged properly. A bad beard mesh or something?
Deleted4363562User
That's certainly strange. It looks like something that NPC has equipped there isn't rigged properly. A bad beard mesh or something?Hmm....the only NPC mods I have are NV Redesigned 3 and FCO. I recently disabled FCO masters and esps as per the install instructions of NV Redesigned 3. I never had this issue with FCO, so maybe it has something to do with Redesigned, and how I installed it. But oddly I remember getting this bug a long, long time ago, when neither of the mods existed, so I have a feeling it's unrelated. What's most odd is that the position of the object will sometimes shift. Right now it's above Boone, but before it was at his waist and about five feet out. Deleted4363562User
It's definitely something with 3rd person. As I said before, the anomaly disappears in 1st person. It also disappears in 3rd person at certain angles. I did some testing inside the Novac Motel Reception room. I disabled anything and everything I could think of that could affect Boone's character model. Breeze, FCO's assets, New Vegas Redesigned 3, Drag Body's NCR mod. I even stripped Boone down after that just make sure the anomaly wasn't caused by a poorly rigged mesh. Nothing. I then disabled any mods that affect the camera in 1st or 3rd person. Nothing. It's definitely something attached to his head though, whatever it is; if I jump up and down, the object follows in unison with his head movements as he tracks the Player Character. But again, I feel like I disabled any mod that could be modifying him. He should be vanilla for all intents and purposes. Again, it's bizarre because if it's a model problem, the anomaly shouldn't disappear in 1st person. Man...I hope someone can help. This is really driving me crazy. Now, I just really want to know what the hell is causing it. EDIT: Oddly, the problem will periodically go away entirely, only to reappear later. It also has extended itself once to a car.
