Download your fallout 3 mod on Fallout Nexus, the best place for mods. 2. Save it somewhere. Example: the desktop. 3. Extract you mod, u need winRAR for the one i'm explaining by the way, by right clicking on the icon and clicking again on the 'extract here' 4. Enter your fallout 3 data file. Instruc: go to Local disk (E:), Click on Progam Files, Click on Bethesda Softworks, Click on Data. 5. Cut, or copy, you mod files that you extracted, and paste it in your fallout Data. 6. Enjoy your mod! Also, for some mods you may need Archive invalidation, so here is instructions to activating that: 1. First you will have to located ‘Fallout_default’, which is located in the Fallout 3 folder (not the data folder, if you are in the data folder, go back one and your there) Easier way, copy this to the location bar on the top: C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksFallout32. Locate in the text ‘bInvalidateOlderFiles=0’ and switch the 0 into a 1, then save.3. If you can’t find it, or are having problems, download Archive Invalidation or use FOMM’s built in validator. falloutstephen Posted December 22, 2010 Share Posted December 22, 2010 When u download a mod, do u actually put the whole folder into the Data folder (which I have done) or do you put the files of the mod into the relevant folders, eg textures etc. Hope that makes sense?
