CTD at startup, not related to missing masters

So this is a problem I've had for a very long time, at least four months. I have tried many things to fix it, throughout many playthroughs and at least ten clean installations. It sort of goes on and off with each installation at some point or other on the playthrough (which makes it all the weirder).

 

You know how sometimes the game will crash inmediatly after the Bethesda logo? From what I've read, and what I know from personal experience, this is directly related to missing masters in your load order. However this doesn't seem to be the case, on one hand because I've made sure that my load order has no missing masters, and on the other hand because the crash doesn't happen inmediatly after the Bethesda logo, but after it loads for a couple of seconds, right before smoke appears on the main menu and it lets you navigate the options (new game, load game, etc).

 

I've tried basically everything I can think of to narrow down the problem, but so far I haven't had succes. It doesn't help that, as I said, the crash dissappears and reappears from playthrouh to playthrough, and from installation to installation.

I don't know if it's related to a single mod, or type of mod, or my load order, or my PC in general, but I would apreciate any help someone can give, if something similar has happened to someone.

Well, I've encountered this sort of problem when I had Enhanced Lights and Fx and Climates of Tamriel activated. I also see quite a few mods that are very script heavy in the load order. I'm no expert but a lot of heavy scripting mods can cause extreme instability even on high end rigs.

Actually, I may have just narrowed down the problem to PatchusMaximus.esp, though I still can't figure out why. I tried messing around with the Perkus Maximus patcher, but haven't succeded. If I had to guess, it's probably related to one of the esp's the mod is patching, but I haven't found information regarding crashes with PerMa.

 

I think it's important to note that, back when the crashes started happening, I was using Skyrim Redone instead of PerMa.

That's always a possibility, though, like I said, a lot of heavy scripts can cause problems. You may need to disable some mods in order to get it running more smoothly. Whatever the case, I hope you find the cause of the problem. ;)

Yeah, that's probably the case. I'm gonna try to do a clean installation (again) and see if I can make something work, but I'm starting to think it's related to my PC rather than a mod in particular. Anyway, thanks for the help, I appreciate it :3
