Idea For Custom Radio Station

Hello to all here (first post)

 

I have an idea for a custom station "Sedition Radio" (wip, open to better suggestions) something along the lines of Infowars Radio (the station Alex Jones broadcasts on) conspiracies, intrigue etc.

 

Just wondering, if anyone (other than me) thinks it's worth doing, as this would be my first attempt at modding & using the GECK and would probably take some considerable time, also does anyone know what the rules are (if any) regarding incl sound clips (some of Jones's legendary rants etc)

I think it sounds like an interesting idea. Sort of like the super mutant talk radio, then, right?

 

I don't know the legality of using any clips from Jones' show, or any other talk radio show for that matter, however.

 

You could also consider doing your own 'radio show', get some ideas from reading the conspiracy sites like you mentioned or any of a thousand others, come up with your own conspiracies, then you and a friend basically have a conversation about (insert topic here) and record it. Obviously you'll want to keep the swearing and the slang to a minimum, but I'd say it's doable that way too. And who knows, maybe more fun, too.

 

If all else fails, make your mod exactly how you want it, and then just keep it for personal use. Use clips from Jones' show or whoever and never upload it to any site. Shouldn't violate any kind of regs then.

 

This actually sounds like it would be a lot more fun to make than the radio station idea I had (but have NO idea how to make), KLML FM, "Kill 'em all, RAIDER RADIO!" Featuring songs by (in no particular order, and this by no means being the complete list) KMFDM, The Sex Pistols, Nonpoint, Social Distortion, Black Label Society, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and Gwar, just to name a few, as well as a Raider Morning Show or something. Tips on hitting caravans, tips on where caravans, traders, scavengers, etc., are right at that moment, that kind of thing. Basically the kind of thing that raiders might listen to. And yes, I realize that punk, Oi, and metal bands don't exactly fit into the 1950's-style world that Fallout is. I don't really care.

 

Best of luck. I'll keep my eye on the mods list. Any thoughts on a name yet?

I was thinking just the same thing as soon as I already listened to the 3 radio stations, with the same 5 songs on them(20 times already).

 

How would you go about starting something like this? It seems like it'd be a really fun thing to do.
