Explosive Shotgun Shells

I was really hoping they'd put this in the game standard, but it seems that the idea was just beyond them. I think it'd just be pure awesome if someone could introduce a 12-gauge high explosive shell into the game. I admit I don't know much about modding, but it doesn't seem like it'd be too difficult to do. I got the idea from the Frag-12 shotgun round, and from the anime Desert Punk, where the main character occasionally fires HE rounds from his pump action shotgun. Speaking of Desert Punk, has anyone made armor that looks like his yet? That'd be cool too, but what I'm REALLY looking for, is explosive shotgun shells, because that'd be just pure badass.

as far as i know, you can script a bullet to explode on impact, and that is the only way i know for making explosive rounds

not sure if that's possible, but if it is, than this is the way to do it (at least i think)

 

basically you can make a script that will work on hit, and summon an explosion on the target's location

haven't tried something like this, but i'm pretty sure that this is possible

These are easy enough to make on your own, but my Ammo Overhaul Mod I'm working on will be adding High Explosive rounds as an option. They will not be cheap, however, and crafting your own will require more materials than a normal round takes, including some new ones. Finally, they'll cause heavy condition damage to the gun that fires them, so their power will be balanced by that.

Glad to hear you're already working on something like this and that it'll be balanced. I'll be keeping a lookout for your mod, though I might find it weird to have HE 9mm pistol or 5.56mm and such rounds, so I hope you keep HE to the more believable larger rounds, hehe. Though shooting explosive rounds from a .44 magnum would be pretty awesome too... *daydreams*
