German Version - Blood Patch?

Heya,

I am living in europe (not in germany) but as German is my mother tongue and amazon.co.uk does not offer the Collectors Edition, I ordered the German one, which is heavily cut.

Well, I haven't received it yet but already checked in the internet about a patch like that but haven't found one - at least not on trustable sites.

I am not quite sure about how legal this thing is, but I mean with being adult and having the original I see no reason for not "uncutting" it.

So if you got any information about how I can make this to an uncut version, I'd be happy if you can write a comment about that.

PS: I have read that this game must be connected with steam. Does anyone know if it checks for my key (german) or the region (not german)? If I could download an english uncut version on steam with my german key, there won't be a problem at all.

Looking at the steam store site of FA:NV it says "Low Violence: German low violence version only available with German language". So i am guessing setting the language to english will activate the full gore. it works this way with Killing floor, but i did not buy FA:NV yet. Setting the language of the steam client to english may also have an effect (the subtitles of the Left4Dead games are actually affected by this).

Be warned that steam is going to download all the voice audio files when you change the language.

Unfortuanetly it does not. I only use the english version of steam and you get th ger-only version nevertheless....

I almost tried to use an American proxy but steam extremly reacts to this by banning accounts: Of course quite illegal but i do not want to start a law suit only because of a game ^^

if the option of changing region in the system or steam doesnt work try editing the fallout.ini in your /mygames folder altering or adding "bDisableAllGore=0"... just like in FO3 i think... dont forget to save afterwards (might wanna try setting it read-only)... other than that i'm pretty sure there is mods that fiddle with gore-effects

-> http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35083 .. might do the trick tho there seem to be some issues of a technical sort...
