Conversation Question

Is there anyway to access voices, and/or put already made voice sets on a character? And when I make my own, what format (.ogg, mp3, .wav) do I have to put it in and put in what folder? The Nwn2 toolset had it easy where you could just chose sound...

Is it anything like that?

@Magnetic;

Use the "Search" function in the Files Section: "DA Nexus Files" and enter "Voice" as the search term.

Between all the various ones there, I think you'll get the idea about how the Sound Set ("ss") files work, and how to call them in the Toolset.

"REDEFINE YOUR HERO VOICE" (despite its ALL CAPS shouting and missing possessive in the title) is a good place to start:

"New Voices for Old PCs" on Nexus (Thx, SirA! :thumbsup: )

I just see Jean-Claude at "Tresses for All" in the Orzammar Commons. He does a wonderful job, don't you think?

Hmmm.... the link tells how to put your fitting character voice sets with those of other npcs, What I want to know is in the toolset when you make a new converastion, where's the button or section in which you put the voiceovers? And in what file format do I have to save the voiceovers in? Like in nwn2 toolset it had to be a .wav..

And yes.. I love the hair! I just discovered the "projects" section of the bioware site... Y.Y

I don't do this kind of work, but I imagine that examining how OTHER voice mods interact with the Toolset and game engine should help you figure out how to do what you're trying to do.

And there are some mods that add completely new NPCs and conversations. Some have fully voiced new recordings. Others are a robotic attempt to synthesize a non-native English speaker's dialogue; "Now. We. Will. See. What. To. Do. Next." But even these DO fire correctly (if disconcertingly) in-game!

I have tried one, but understand that the "Ser Gilmore" mod is another.
