I have an inability to download mods through the Nexus Mod Manager

An issue I have had with the Nexus Mod Manager is that I cannot download mods through the system itself.

 

To clarify on this, let's use the example (the mod I was attempting to download) "The Mod Configuration Menu" for Fallout: New Vegas. On most (if not all) pages of Nexus Mod pages there are the options to either install a mod manually, or through Nexus Mod Manager (the green button once you click the files tab). Upon clicking the button, the browser screen loads momentarily, but when I enter the Nexus Mod Manager the system is not downloading anything. I have tried multiple times, but the system will not download.

 

I then attempted to skip the Mod Configuration Menu and download the "One HUD" mod, but the same inability to download occurs.

 

Important notes:

I am using the Google Chrome Browser.

I do not have "AdBlock" installed.

I have entered the New Vegas Script Extender properly (I have redone it multiple times).

I have yet to re install the Nexus Mod Manager as the idea just occurred to me at this moment, haha.
