M1A1 Thompson sub machinegun

As the title says, this is a later generation Thompson. If I recall, it was after the design was simplified a bit more, unlike it's older brother, the charging handle is on the side rather than on top, the iron sights are also simplified, for those of you who've played call of duty your finest hour, you are issued a Thompson M1A1.

In light of this, the weapon could easily use either the assault rifle or even the sniper rifles reload animations. It could use in game ammunition as well, it being a pretty potent weapon of the time, I'd say the .44 magnum is a fair close match, if not that, either the 10mm or larger one 12 something should suffice.

I love the fact that there is a WWII weapon in game, and id love to see more. It could have the same worn out weathered look as the unique weapon "this machine"

Here's an example of the M1A1

While I like the chicago typewriter style with the foregrip, I fear it will cause clipping issues, while the M1A1 would conform better with current models, makeing it that much easier to create. It could simply use the Assault carbine mod or what have you for it's reload animation. I love WWII weapons, i'm hoping to see more, I'm quite surprised there are not more mods out there for FONV yet.

I've seen the mod, and while it's not exactly what I'm looking for it is indeed a nice weapon. I already stated before, I'm looking for the model that pretty much served the US army during our fights in WWII. Drum magazines were available, but were unpopular due to jamming issues, and difficulty to reload the drums. A traditional stick magazine I think would work nicely. I know I'm being picky, but I the M1A1 is one of my most favorite variants of this particular weapon.

I agree, though. I like the one with the stick magazine over the drum as well.
