timaishu
This problem started out of no where and I have no idea why. Basically. When I load a save, I cannot see anything. It seems that whatever the ambiance color is (like orange for oblivion gates) thats what my screen looks like. Just a solid color. Im guessing it happened because I updated my graphics drivers. But I uninstalled the ones I downloaded from Asus and installed ATI drivers from AMD's website and that fixed it because I was able to play. But I booted up my PC this morning and I am having the exact same issue again! I can see the hud with the compass/health and such. But that is it, nothing else. timaishu
When I lower the graphics to crap it works for some reason. This is so frustrating Im considering just uninstalling and saying eff it.
Smooth613
Post a DXDIAG please so we can gather some information. Typically when only the 2D images, like the HUD, are rendering but the 3D images are not rendering it's a hardware issue.
timaishu
I experimented with it. When I messed with graphics settings from in game it worked. Everytime I set a game setting from the intial before statup options it failed. Also, every time I hit quit oblivion would stop working and I would have to ctrl alt delete to get out. I said screw it and uninstalled. I still have all my mods in a folder through. I may re-install one of these years. Thanks for trying to help though. MexicoWolf
hope you don't mind a late reply, but this happened to me! we (my brother and i) turned off water reflection and it worked. if you have water reflection on it's worth a shot turning it off. -mexico
