Uber fast gun reloads after switching weapon.

Hiya all

I have used the console in fallout NV too give me maximum SPECIAL of 10 for all the stats. This is the only change I have done, no mods or trainers, no god mode etc. When I first load the game my guns reload speed is fine, but as soon as I switch too a new weapon like a 9mm pistol my reload animation goes lightning quick, im talking like speeds of being able to reload the bolt action rifle in about .5 of a second and even faster for the pistol. I have not taken the reload speed perk so anyone have any ideas as too what is happening? I first thought maybe agility affect weapon reload speeds but I used the console and put my stats back to 5 on each and it still does the crazy reload.

Anything I can do too slow it down? or am I stuck with this rather annoying bug?

Thanks.

That's the thing, when I load my save game after quitting the game for a bit the reload are at normal speeds. It only happens after I switch too a different weapon :( I have also tried lowering my stats back to normal and it still as stupidly fast reload. Guess I'm just stuck with it for now.

Was this from day 1? Or did it only seem to happen after you modified your stats? Maybe something happened when you changed your stats causing something to go wrong?

Just for experimentation try starting another game with 1 Agility, then 10 Agility (without Consol), and see if there is a difference?

in the GECK, gameplay - settings, there is a fAgilityReloadBase and fAgilityReloadModifier

the Base is 5.000000 and the modifier is 0.10000 not too clear what it means but can have a tiny idea.

Agility DOES affect to reload.

EDIT: you can play with it, just open the console and type "setgs fAgilityReloadBase #" without quotes where~# is a number, try setting it very low and very high and try to relaod and see what happens.

Do the same with fAgilityReloadModifier

Moar info: the fallout3.esm file does not include these 2 game settings

I thought this game had insanely quick reload times. I built my character 10 agility from the start, hoping I would be able to cheat in cards, so that might just be it.

I think that the condition of the weapon has an effect, too. Either way, they are way faster than FO3
