BEArbiter
Hi, So you would want to mod for NV.You have been told that it's easy to mod in Geck, but you don't know where to start? Here is your anwsers: I want to Mod for NV, but the geck don't seems to be able to load the ESM (higher version):You Simply have the wrong Geck (the one for Fallout 3).While being quite similar (same engine,...), there is some differences between the FO3 Geck and FNV Geck. You need to download the right one here:http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/geck.html This armor in vanilla Fallout 3 is uber awesome, I wan't It!You simply can't, Bethesda don't like it and will pluck out your eyes if you do so.You could ask someone (Not me, I don't know anything, I swear, really don't sent me a PM) more experienced to tell you how, but nobody would answer you anyway. So, I can't have this super Armor mod make by "InsertNameHere" for Fallout 3If "InsertNameHere" have the rights(legaly) on the models,sound,... You can ask him for a convesion or ask the permission to do it yourself.Otherwise, no! I would like to do something in geck, but don't know where to start! You can find basics tutorials here:http://geck.bethsoft.com/ I know the basis, but Something I would like to do isn't explained here, and I really can't figure how it work. You can Ask Here but they are simple Rules that you should follow:Search before posting, Maybe someone have already post a solution to your problem.Be clear and polite, Nobody will answer to: "Plz I nedz halp 4 doin sumthin!"Don't Spam or up all the ten seconds. My Script don't Save:Use the Validator to check your code:http://www.cipscis.com/fallout/utilities/validator.aspxCorrect the errors you have and then check the warnings. If it still don't save it's because you mistyped a variable name or a reference.Note: it was made for Fallout 3 and don't take the new Fuction of NV. It's all I've got for now.If you got question, or think something should be added, please Tell it here. Thank you not to ask all those question on other threads now.Escuse me for my Basic English, this is not my main language.

DeonDF
Hello, I have a very strange problem here. My followers enter the interior I've made but they refuse to leave it and stay inside when I leave. The doors are set up properly. What can it be? Here's the alpha of the mod. It allows you to enter Buck's Steak House in Freeside (near the entrance to Strip, just near "Travelling Service" large sign):http://www.box.net/shared/3pfqjgoo3y
BEArbiter
Is the interior navMesh set up properly?you need it to go under the door and finalize it to make it working.
DeonDF
I really have no idea how to configure NavMeshes (this probably explains why they can't navigate inside too), How do I set up navMesh for the whole interior? Oh wait I can use google: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Bethsoft_Tutorial_Navmesh :). Thank you very much, I just started modding so don't know many things. You're awesome. Kudos to you, friend. DeonDF
I have another question, what is an "audiomarker" (big A in blue box) for? Google doesn't show anything.
BEArbiter
Sorry, I can't answer to this Question. Should be something going with audio but what? Have you looked into Geck after other audiomarker to see how it work, what it does?
DeonDF
That's a problem: they seem to have no specific attributes added to them. Well, if they are not on wiki and removal does (seemingly) nothing, then probably they are not that important and can be skipped :).
sdorman22
I can't even get this far... I downloaded the GECK installer and the 1.5 updater and installed the GECK to my Steam version of New Vegas' directory. I then copied the Geck 1.5 update to the same directory, but as soon as I launch the 1.5 updater it says "Old File Doesn't Exist". I googled around and found old reference to this being a missing readme file, but I do have that readme file in the directory. Anyone know what this is about? It seems to be the Geck.exe that it's hanging up on...which i can clearly see in my folder...
sdorman22
never mind...i see Beth just did a really confusing job on linking the files...you'd think they'd have the geck subdomain updated by now.
