Valgaror
I've noticed a lot of weird aspects of the karma system in New Vegas. Basically.. you can mow down a horde of feral ghouls, raiders, or any number of hostile NPCs and get positive karma for it, but if you steal something from a Legion footlocker or pick up a bent tin can from the floor of an abandoned building or something, you get negative karma for stealing. It seems... weird. Personally I would think it should be a lot more difficult to get good or very good karma level, especially from killing generic feral ghouls or raiders - it doesn't make sense that an "evil" character would AVOID combat in these cases. Not being able to loot stuff from enemies without karma loss seems like it'd also get annoying for good characters. Where are the places that karma increases or decreases can be changed for certain things? I've already found a lot of the ghouls and NPCs set as "evil" and changed to neutral, but I'd like to tweak the settings for other things like stealing and cannibalism and I'm not sure where those would be in the GECK, sort of new to modding. Or, if someone who would already know what they're doing wants to make a comprehensive karma rebalance mod, that would be awesome.
