Writer seeks work with modder!

Hello to the community.

I am a huge Fallout fan, been playing the game since it first came out as 'Wasteland' before the Fallout name existed.

Veering back to the topic in hand:

I am a writer of poetry, prose and etc etc etc....

Sadly that seems to be the only area in which I have any ability, coding and etc is a very difficult thing for me, likely due to no practice or not learning it easily...

I have ideas, plots and characters alive in my mind that would be enjoyable to implement into a game, New Vegas being the latest one and so the object of fresh intrest. I have begun attempts to make a simple and small mod, but as stated earlier I am awful at coding and etc....but will continue to try.

As for ideas of mods, it would be fantastic to reintroduce some old Fallout and Fallout 2 ideas into the new Fallout capabilities.

Imagine if you will a new version of 'The Glow' with a new quest chain and ties to the Brotherhood of steel. Or perhaps remnants of 'The Master' from Fallout whom desire to continue his work?

Although I would find it higly amusing to see someone create the old overseer chair from Fallout and Fallout2, though that would be a daunting task indeed!

Anyway, I would like to discuss ideas and any way I may be able to input my mind into anyone elses projects if they so desire.

Most modders I've met rarely enlist in the help of others for plotlines/characters. Needless to say your ideas are ones ive heard from a lot of other New Vegas players.

Several in particular have mentioned they would enjoy seeing the LA Boneyard or the Glow returned. If Obsidian doesn't expand into California it's very likely modders will.

Writers generally will have a hard time finding modders to work with; if anything, this is usually because writers generally provide fluff to a modder's crunch, making them often extraneous to the process, particularly because most people can write, even if it isn't particularly well, thereby essentially limiting any writer involved in the project as more of a source of ideas, and possibly writing some dialog, but otherwise otherwise as a collaborator who doesn't contribute particularly much to the project.

There's nothing wrong with being a writer; it's just there isn't much a writer brings to the table that modders can't do themselves.
