ell46
I'm doing my first play through since upgrading my PC and I've just gone into the fade, the problem is everything is blurry eg the edges of the swords have scalloped edges that are moving!! all fine detail has gone, Is this how it's supposed to look? I tried reducing the texture setting and now it looks like my old set up, I'm really disappointed.
RustyBlade
Well... it is supposed to be a little blurry and things do seem to move a little but without actually seeing what you are seeing it is hard to say. Can you post a screenshot?

I think what you're seeing is, in fact, how it's supposed to look. I absolutely LOATHE The Fade, and have used the mod "Skip the Fade" for several playthroughs. But ever since installing "DA Core Rules Fixpack" (which ROCKS!) I have still had to wander my way through it. Makes my head hurt to look at it while trying to figure out where I am and where I need to go.
XTR3M368
I use some of the Rules fix pack and Skip the fade still works for me. I did have to delete about half of the "fixes and tweaks" for compatibility conflicts with multiple other mods. The "Fade" is one of the most hated parts of DA....I would endorse Skip the Fade again if I could.
ell46
Rustyblade - I tried to get a screen shot but it doesn't work, I think because if captures a brief moment and the face of Duncan looks almost normal. Thandal - I've been playing Oblivion again and learning to mod it :D great fun, so I've been around just not on this Nexus. I love/loved going in the fade and can get round pretty quickly, I especially like the geezer that can freeze things and crush them :woot: but last night I did use the 'skip the fade' mod because looking at that was just too hard on the eyes, it's a wonder people aren't rolling on the floor having fits looking at that for more than 2 minutes, stupid idea. As it appears it's normal I can either use the mod  or reduce the texture settings and play with black eyes and washed out colours, but no crawling, blurry effects. I'll have to check out that Rules Fix Pack, never heard of it, so many mods, so little time. This is also my first play through since Patch 1.04 went on and my game crashed last night for the first time ever
RustyBlade
Sounds like your fade experience is about normal (annoying as hell.) As for the crash... let me guess - fight with Sloth?

ell46
I can't find DA Core fix pack, but found this http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/search.php is it the one?
Thandal
This is the one: "Dragon Age Rules Fixpack". (When you copy the url from the page you found through the Search function , it will just take you back to an empty Search page.) The "Core" part is in the actual file name when you extract the .dazip.

[sigh] And he's not even that tough when you get all your Party's buffs and drains going. (Oh yeah... That's what causes the crash! >:( )
