[REQ] Additional Safe Houses/Safe House Rework

Now, this is something I'd do myself, if I actually had the required know-how. Anyway, I was woefully underwhelmed by the number and usability of available safe houses in New Vegas.

 

The only proper "Home" you ever really get is the High-Roller Suite at the Lucky 38. This is all fine and good - if you're actually working with Mr. House. If you're not, or maybe even working against him, it makes no sense to me to use the Lucky 38 as a base of operations. As far as I know, the Lucky 38 is also the only place where you can send your followers, except for their respective homes (Boone in Novac, ED-E in Primm, etc).

 

You eventually get access to a forgotten, small and overall disappointing Ranger Safe House if you work with the NCR, you can hire a room at Vault 21 or in Novac - the former is a really crappy hole in the ground that is unkempt, but the other two are actually respectable safe houses. But you can't send your followers to any of them. I assume that there may be other potential safe houses or homes, especially since I have yet to play with the Legion.

 

What I would want is a mod that allows you to send your followers to the Ranger Safe House once you discover it, and to Novac or Vault 21 once you pay for your rooms there - as well as potential expansion of said safe houses; the Ranger Safe House in particular, where rangers have apparently dumped broken shelves in the back and haven't cleaned in ages. There's also no reason why there shouldn't be a workshop somewhere in Vault 21, in connection to the NoVac Inn, or (especially) in the Ranger Safe House.

 

I also see no reason why there should be two different doors to get into the Ranger Safe House - one internal and one external; If the cave portion could be cut out, that'd be great. Or at least remove the "teleportation" effect when using the internal door.

 

That's all. A fairly substantial piece of work, what with adding checks for dialogues and such, aswell as some slight interior design. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
