Fallout New Vegas & Fallout 3 Mods

I've google'd this and nothing of the sort has come up. So, are Fallout 3 mods compatible with Fallout NV? I know that there will be most of them that wont, but they are normally all the mods that people don't download. I'm asking if the popular mods are compatible with Fallout NV. Such as Fallout Reborn.... Anyone tried Fallout 3 Mods on Fallout NV? (I can't find out for myself as my computer is in repairs :( ).

Basically, FO3 and FNV mods are "very compatible". As about 1/3 of all assets in the game is shared and the folder structure remains the same it is relatively easy to port mods from FO3 to FNV.

 

 

This means that on the topside:

 

- Models, textures (-> bodies & faces) and animations can be applied to FNV without changing anything. Just copy the files in the appropiate directories, same as FO3.

- Armors, Weapons etc. that consist completely of one modder's own work can be ported within minutes

 

 

On the neutral side:

 

- It will take some time to make FOSE and FOMM running under FNV, but the modders are already working and making good process from what I've read.

- Mods that needed FO3 assets (buildings will most likely belong to this category) might have to be redone, as parts of these assets might not be in FNV (just copying them from FO3 to FNV isn't legal)

 

 

On the downside:

- Mods that have a lot of references to the Capital Wasteland (cities, quests, npcs, new lands) will have to be almost redone.
