Fallout exits moments after loading

Hello. I am a big fan of FNV, and have recently begun playing it once more. Everything is great, for a little while, but when I play it for a few hours, exit, and then reload, it exits in a few seconds. I think it is my save game size, but I've only played it for a few hours. My save file is 5,935 kbs. I've restarted the game, and after I play it for a few hours, exit, and reload, it exits in a few seconds. It doesn't even crash, it just exits, like you opened task manager in game. It's got the same resolution, everything, but instead of FNV, it's windows. I can't enter the game again, and it keeps repeating the last second of audio, usually the music. I can close it via the task manager, or right clicking it. I use Windows 8.1, if that means anything.
