woodtortiose
I always use Breezehome as my player home, and BreezehomeTNF is the best breezehome mod IMHO, but there are a few things I would change to make it perfect for me (I know everyone has a different idea of perfection). I've loaded the file into the creation kit in a futile attempt to fix it myself, but its simply beyond me. I was hoping that a skilled building modder (or someone who wants to be and could use the practice) would be able and willing to take it on, hopefully because they liked the changes and would use it themselves. I wont go into all the specific changes I'd like here and now, but if someone is interested I'd love to go into detail. In a nutshell it involves expanding/adding rooms to the basement and rearranging some things upstairs. Goatk, the original author, has kindly given permission for anyone to mod his wonderful creation, unfortunetely, that isnt me. Here's the original mod, in case it somehow escaped anyones attention:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31222/? Thanks!
Proxy7Proxy
I'm interested in giving it a shot.
woodtortiose
Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Well, I'm going to assume that you are familiar with the layout of the mod and get right to it. Forgive me in advance if I seem anally specific, but this is the dreamhouse I'm picturing: 1. The upstairs. The master bedroom is fine, except I'd like to turn the big desk into a container (to store all notes and letters). The rest of the upstairs I want to be the kids room, getting rid of the display racks and containers and mannequins in the weapon area at the top of the stairs. I'd like 3-4 kids beds, a chest with each bed, a wardrobe or 2, their practice dummy, and any other kid stuff. there is a mod resource on the nexus for a rocking horse that looks neat. preferably all this would be against a wall so the center path is easy to get through. Also, when you go up the stairs on your left is a wall with a door to the current kids room that i'd like to get rid of so the area is more open. 2. main floor: Here I basically want to get rid of the alchemy and enchanting tables and containers (not the bookcase though) and use this area as a kitchen. There doesnt seem to be any place to store or prepare food, so I thought this would be a good spot. I dont know if you are familiar with skyfall estate, but that mod uses some neat kitchen resources from some of the bigger mod resource packs. The other changes to the main floor are the tower base area. I'd like the trophy displays removed, I dont know, maybe a few bookshelves or something, feel free to improvise. Also, I'm not sure if I prefer the center firepit or the fireplace against the wall. If you have a preference and feel like changing it, cheers. 3. Ok, now the basement. I'd like to make Lydias room bigger, maybe twice the size, with room for 3-4 adult beds and assorted furniture, just a little room for a few companions. I dont know a thing about how bed ownership works, but none of my npcs ever seem to sleep! Next the bathing area. I love the feel of this room and the sauna, I just wish it were a bit bigger and some parts were deep enough to actually swim, while still retaining an area to sit in the water. Not an underground lake, just bigger, while still retaining the hot springs atmosphere. I think there is a way, a script or something to make npcs undress when they enter, if you know how to do that, great. Also any bathing area resources, towels buckets soap etc, even a toilet if there is a resource that fits the areas theme (wooden walls and rock). Ok, now the forge/crafting room. For the most part its great as is, but it needs to be a little bigger or have an open doorway leading to a small room with the alchemy/enchanting tables and containers. I'd prefer a small additional room, but as long as all the crafting things are in close proximity, I'm happy. If you wanted to add one of those spider grenade/scroll making boxes from the dlc, even better. And finally behind the stairs are a few barrels, a stack of firewood and other junk that i want to get rid of. At the back of this space should be a door leading to the armoury. Basically everything you pulled out of the upstairs area put in this room, with an extra mannequin or two and a few more weapons chests. Here also I would put 1 large and 1 small trophy display that came out of the tower base. This room doesnt have to be huge, just big enough. Lastly one small room at the back of the armoury, with a lockable door, or on of those hidden wardrobe doors, or the hidden wall panel from the thief fences house in windhelm, leading to a small area with two display racks. One for the black books and the other for the three elder scrolls. Again I saw this in the skyfall estate mod, and there is some script that makes them not quest items somehow. Thats just about it. I dont understand navmeshing very well, but I'd like the npcs to use everything with lots of idle animation triggers. Also, there is maybe four shields of note, so at least four shield plaques throughout the home. I think thats it. I dont want to loose the cozy feel, I want to keep it all one cell, just a bit bigger. Well if i havent sent you running and screaming in the opposite direction, let me know what you think. And even if you decide not to do it, I still appreciate the response. Thanks
