CONSOLE....?

Hi , i downloaded a mod and in the read me text it say`s- " open the Console and type ......." -

 

How do i open the console..? do i need an other mod or program for open it..?

And in an other mod i read this- "talk to the cheriff etc.etc. and then open your console and type code....... and then

close your console and move on" -

 

Please how to open the console..???????? :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

 

 

I play my game on pc with xbox 360 controller and the game works fine with fomm and fose etc.etc and patch 1.7

well, to open the console, you need to press the "~" button (the one just right of the 1 button)

this will open the console

Thank you for reply WastelandAssassin, but i dont have that button there, to the right of nr 1 is nr 2,same at the

num-pad..and to the left of nr 1 is " §½ " and that button dont work...???

and this " ~ " button dont work....??? " ~ " this button is next to the " tab " button...........

 

What to do.? and can you open console in game when ever you whant or ...??? and you dont need other

mod or somting to open console..?

 

I run the game on my ASUS Laptop ( Vista )

the button is above the Tab button, at least on my keyboard, but it may be different of a laptop

but it's that button that opens the console, and no mod is needed

as far as i know, even on laptops, it's still the "~" button

Hi, did som reading on this problem and it`s look like many people in this forum and other forum`s

have the same problem, and if you have a powerfull gaming and entertainmant pc, Vista in most caces,

then the IR ( microsoft Ehome ) is turnd on all the time.. :wallbash: You can turn it of but you have to

do it every time you turn on your pc :wallbash: Turn the IR off and the " ~ " button works, i dont like

to turn it off and on all the time so i did find a mod for it here on Nexus, and now it works beautiful whith

the F4 button...! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

 

I do have a request for the Modder`s , can some one create a viritual Key-bord and link the Console button

to the Xbox 360 controller or Pip-boy or somthing like that..? Xpadder has this and in the game Oblivion you

have a viritual Key-board, in Oblivon i just read it and for Xpadder i now becouse i have it..

This is so you dont have to use the Key-board and just use the Xbox360 controller,

 

Can some one fix this so i can lay back in my soffa and drink beer and play fallout3 :D 8) 8) 8)

For some reason beyond my comprehension, Microsoft decided to disable the tilde key (~) when they have infrared turned on. On most desktop computers this is not a problem because they don't have IR capability. However, for laptops and media center desktops, as well as those desktops that do have an infrared receiver/transmitter it is a nuisance.

 

On non-English keyboards the key in question is the one to the left of the 1 key on the top line. Whatever its symbol.

 

On the media center PC, the simplest fix is to unplug the IR from the PC. The tilde immediately returns to use.

 

On those with an IR that can not be simply unplugged, you will need to go into the control panel to disable IR.

 

On an XP system: Vista will be similar

Start>Settings>Control Panel

click on 'System' then the Hardware tab, then the 'Device Manager'

 

Find the infrared port

Under the section labeled 'Device usage' select 'Do not use this Device (disable)'

Click on the OK below it.

 

A red x should appear over the IR port on the list of devices.

 

Of course, this will make anything that relies on the IR no longer function until you change it back.
