DocSeanson
Dear Lonely In New Vegas, Some inspired character ideas, some from other games.. The Disgraced Legionare, named Minimus (Melee with Close Support using Unarmed and Melee weapons)*Found crucified outside of Nipton for refusal to rape the women of the village(which is actually tied to the size of his manhood). The player can release Minimus and help him recover his unique bumper sword, The Extender as well as prove to the Legion that he is a True Man after all. Follower Perk : Man's Man - With Minimus as a follower , Lady Killer dialog is Opened with no need for Perk) A Veteran Bounty Hunter, named Canderous (Close to Midrange Support using Shotguns/Light Machine Gun)*Found half dead in the Mojave if the player has a high enough Medicine skill they can help the NPC recover, do a quest to uncover a long forgotten Enclave Bunker that houses the Outlaws he/she was after.Follower Perk: Bounty Merchant - Collect Heads from Unique, non essintial NPC dead bodies and turn them in for Caps with a dialog option. (IE Dead Sea, NCR Named Offiers, perhaps other Followers.) A Feind Chemist, named Four Twenty (Melee with Close Range Support using SMG's and Pistols): In a scripted event where the Player walks up to a Lonely Shack only to have it explode before they get too close. After the player regains consiousness they find bodies of Feinds scattered around with one survior. He/She explains they where working on a new super drug when their ignorant lab assistant lit a cigerette to close to the fumes. In a quest to Rebuild their Drug Lab the NPC gives you the locations of 3 Hospitals and follows you because they do not trust you to bring all the Chems back. After the player gathers about 25 of each Drug and the 3 Peices of the Chemist Set, Four Twenty wil rebuild the Drug Lab and provide 3 free chems with a cut of caps every week. Also provide a Safe House with My First Chemistry set to get rid of any nasty addictions.Follower Perk : Drug Dealer - Bonus to Barter Skill +10 & Incresed Rep with Powerder Gangers and Feinds. Mysterious Assassin Droid, named JL-74 ( Crafter NPC + Funny Dialog): Find parts of a scattered Protectotron that once assembled bring our favorite dialog back as this Compaion reffers to Humans as Meatbags. Can make Hold Out custom Hold Out Weapons for smuggling into casinos. Follower Perk : Assassin For Hire - Grants The Professinal Perk as long as JL-74 is a follower) A Female Mistress Sex Bot Securatron, named Donna Matrix (Heavy Support using Rocket Launchers and Chain Lasers): After finding a hidden basement in the Lucky 38 the player repairs and reprograms a rouge female securatron that Mr. House had put away because of her refusal to serve him. Upgrades when you give the Platinum Chip to Mr. House just like the static Securatrons, but also unlocks new programs. When you take Donna as a follower your character gets a "Slave Collar" to put on not just for visual aspects, but explodes the player's head should they leave Donna Matrix too far behind."Massage Protocol" that eleviates Sleep deprevation, "Bathing Protocol" that helps Dehydration, "Pleasure Protocol" that works to keep Hunger down. Follower Perk : Submissve Stance - Being followed by the imposing Donna Matrix, your foes may take mercy on you reducing Random Attacks by Factions unless shot first. (Works like a constant disgiuse for All factions.) An Alien named Prederator (Stealth w/ Energy Weapons): The player stumbles into a camp where the bodies are skinned, headless and hanging by crucifiction around a crashed ship with campfire/skulls on display. The player is attacked by 3 cloaked Aliens with mini plasma casters on their shoulder. Shoudl the player survive the attack they are approched by Prederator and given a ungiue Shoulder Plasma Caster. With his Broodmates dead and his ship crashed Prederator offers to follow the player who is by far the strongest hunter he ever came across. Prederator is also on a personal quest to find any lost Broodmates and exterminate a nest of creatures not of this world...Follower Perk : Otherworldly Camo - Prederator provides Stealthboys upon request after using Scrap Electronics, Scrap Metal, Sensors, a Conductor. A Warrior From the Future , named Hash (Melee with Chainsaw, Close Range Support with Shotguns): While wandering the Mojave a loud boom sounds over the player as bits and pieces of junk rain down all around. A car falls from sky soon followed by a man with a chainsaw for an arm, and a dialog straight form a pre-war B-rated movie. Once he wakes up he exclaims that his name is Hash, Toy Depatment and that a mysterious book named the Lamonomicon brought him to this place. Even though he is reluctant for your assistance he askes the player to help recover the book before a Great Evil overcomes the Mojave. I suggest the creation of a Vault 666 as the destinaton of the Lamonomicon complete with ghouls, those freaky plant people, spore plants etc.Follower Perk : Klatu Verata Neck Toe - Shotguns Surgeon perk added for Free and Wild Wasteland trait becomes Active as long as Hash is a follower. A Cannibal named Lester (Melee support w/ recipies for Human Flesh): Found in the back of a crashed prison transport, the player finds Lester bound but not gagged. If the player released Lester, he swears loyalty as long as the player provides fresh meat for his consumption. This is in the form of 1 Good NPC murder per day while Lester is a follower upon which Lester eats the corpse. Good for covering up murders Negitive Karma reward for releasing Lester. No quest added.Follower Perk : Extra Crispy - Cooked Human Flesh gives more Health, provides Cannibal Perk and Unique Cooking recipies for Strange Meat/Human flesh. Any NPC that recognizes Lester will run away screaming for life. More to follow guys, but I need to get on to work. I already called out 2 days to play FO:NV so I better so up tonight. Desertback
I got a good companion idea Dante De Luca - A man before the war (Now a ghoul) used to be in the mafia as a capo/hitman. Perk : Hitman - Everytime you kill a man silently you get double the xp out of it Where He Will Be At : Gommera Casino serving drinks but problem is he is working off his tab so in order for him to join you.......you need to either A. Pay the tab......B. Kill the manager.......C. Make a deal
DocSeanson
Back with some more Mod suggestions, Vehicals1. A driveable motorcycle, with a side car that carries your non robotic followers. 2. This is a war..where are the Tanks, Jeeps, and Troop Transports? You would think as hostile as the Mojave is having a fast way to get around would increase survival. The game introduces Biodiesel so lets get some wheels spinning. 3. On that note, a Mad Max style Drag Strip where your character can race other NPC cars for Caps and Pinks. There is an Airfeild that I found completely lacking of any interesting items that could be converted to a quarter mile straightaway. It would be awesome to get some of those old wrecks out of the way of the roads, the police crusier was a new addition to the junk heap, and back on the track. Perhaps a NVRL(New Vegas Racing League faction) that could net better parts for the various vehicals. A garage will house your cars On Site and offer Tool Kits to fix them if they get shot up. Any car that explodes returns to the trash heap of the Mojave scene. 4. I've seen the Lady do her thing...I watched the Boomers dive bomb Caesar's Fort...bring in the New Vegas Air Force! 5. Ever been in the Sewers of New Vegas..no I mean really in the Sewers and not in the Thorn. Would be awesome to find Vault 777 down there. 6. Sex in New Vegas..show me the direction to Vault 69....common you know you would go there too. 7. In exact opposite of the above, how about a Love at First Sight relationship mod, that would allow your character male and female to actually grow a family. Go on dates(make use of the awesome resturants in the Strip), get married at one of the Casino's and begin to have children that will someday grow up. 8. For raising the Child , the baby stage would resmeble the Pitt's little baby tomb where it would need to be feed, changed, and talked to. Just like the main character in FO3 the child will flash from Baby, to 10 Years, to 16 Years then to 21 years over the course of one In Game year which would make it 3 months per Age Cycle. Your care of the child determines their stats when they reach 21. At Age 10 you have the options to Teach, Praise, and Scold. When you teach your kid , a menu pops up that shows what your child can learn this week composed of your Skills over 50. At 16 you will have a choice of Gifts to give your child that will further develop the Skills. A menu pops up that shows a Merchant UI named Gift Shop and allows the player to buy Skill related gifts ie Varmant Rifle will increase their Guns, a Tool Box will increase their Repair, a Beer might increase their Survival. etc. A rich dad/mom means their kids get only the best, while those of poverty will just be happy to hear Happy Birthday. At 21 your son or daughter will come to you and say its time for them to live their own lives with a heartfelt goodbye, a menu pops up that lists what Memento you wish to give your departing spawn that would act as Starting Equipment. Again Rich paranets will be able to send out their son/daughter into the Mojave well prepared, while Poverty stricken familes might pass along the Dad's/Mom's Combat Knife and a hug. After which they will leave the Lucky 38/Player home and venture into the wastes. You may stumble across their gutted and lifeless body in the bottom of Vault 3 only to vow revenge on the Fiends. Or you may cross paths with them on the Road and they will offer some stories about what they seen and where they been. Could also give over some items such as a stimpack or 2, ammo, or even a Rare weapon your character failed to find on the first go around. Well thats enough to now. I will let those sink in until I have another flash of brillance or creative insanity. Ave, Doc
