KnightPhoenix7
I need some help on creating vendors in New Vegas. I am trying to add some vendors to the Lucky 38 Casino. I've created the NPCs and put the vendor chests in the same cell, not accessible by the player. The problem I have is that when you sell items to the vendor, you don't get caps back. If you buy a few items and sell items after that, you can get back the amount of caps you spent to buy stuff. I've tried using Caps001 at about 60,000 and Caps90 1,000 times. I've tried putting the caps in the vendor chest and in the npc's inventory, but neither works. I was following the Fallout 3 vendor creation tutorial as well. I could use some help on this. KnightPhoenix7
Does anyone know if there is an upper limit on the amount of caps a vendor can have? I was thinking that maybe scripts don't work right if they have too much. I'm going to test this by lowering their caps amount to a normal vendor level. KnightPhoenix7
In reply, I found that 45,000 and 60,000 cause the scripts to mess ups and not give the player the correct amount of caps. I settled on and tested 25,000 caps, which works fine.
McclaudEagle
Not sure how much this will help: Fallout 3 Merchant Tutorial I think since everything is near the same, the guide will work for New Vegas too.
