Ten Tigers
Okay, I will admit I am not only a martial arts buff but I love old school kung fu movies as well as martial arts heavy anime such as Fist of the North Star. Fallout: New Vegas took a step in the right direction by adding new moves as your unarmed skill improved, but they didn't take it far enough in my opinion. So here are my thoughts for some awesome mods that will actually give people a reason to put points into unarmed aside from the occasional perk requirement... 1) First and most basic would be a basic animation replacer. Keep the standard punching animation, but the hook and uppercut moves you eventually unlock should be replaced by a crescent kick, and a . Like I said, just a simple animation swap. Keep the damage the same. 2) Second idea expands on this. Introduce several animation replacers that require you to seek out a specific NPC instructor depending on what style you want to learn. This way you can have kung fu, karate, muay thai, and other popular forms available to you depending on what your preferences are. Of course you would only be able to have one style at a time, but it would be cool to have a number of options available. 3) A Fist of the Northstar type Perk. As cool as the unarmed animation swaps would be, unarmed attacks are still pretty weak in comparison to things like Power Fists and the like. So this is the great equalizer. So long as your character is completely unarmed, their attacks do the same damage as a power fist. Of course it would have prerequisites such as a high unarmed skill and strength stat. Any modders out there want to take any or all of these ideas under their wing?
