Hi Dovahkiin655, I will give you my pov: 6 gb memory is ok, since 4 is the limit for 32 bits games like Skyrim.

1 gb graphic card is absolutely not enough, at least 2 gb memory with 256 bits bandwith is the minimum recommended.

Cpu is ok, but an i7 is the one to call here, your option should be ok as long as you pick up a ssd disk.

Talking about a hard disk, is not a matter of size, but speed transfer, so, and ssd is highly adviced.

My experience right now is with 4 gb ram, dual channel, a radeon hd 7870 2 gb 256 bits, an i3 dual core cpu and a very old hard disk (320 gb) sata ii, and i had to re size all my mods from whatever they was (8k, 4k, even 2k, to 1k), also, had to choice between too heavy scripted mods, and still struggling with it, so when I play, I have to save a lot between crash to desktop, everytime i chancge the scene, for example from doing a quest in the forest and moving to a town, because is sure i will have a crash. How do i know is graphic heavy or script heavy problem?, is simple, when i go into a town, if I approach slowly, walking, not running, and doing pauses between, like 1 or 2 seconds, my game keeps up longer before crash, letting me even get into that town, but crushing anyway. When I go into town one more time loading that saved game, i dont have any problem as long as Im inside and not going into open.

For me, its clearly a heavy scripted mod, and to have a i3 doesnt help, and to dont have a ssd make it even worst.

Hope this is useful for you, have fun mate.

I'd suggest the GTX 970 4gb, AMD fx 8350 and a 840 evo. I've just recently built made a list of parts I'd recommend for a build my mate wanted for skyrim heavily modded and any new game he might want to get. Those were the best mix of value and performance I could find. Also, these are great resources;

  • Google 'what evere hardware your lookoing for' hierarchy chart and go to the one on tomshardware like this one for GPUs
  • Google 'what evere hardware your lookoing for' value chart and go for the one on Passmark like this one for GPUs
  • And here are some well built custom PCs voted best by a community that really knows its stuff.

What I do is look for the best value piece of hardware (GPU or CPU for example) using the chart I linked and find the first one nearest my budget, cross reference that with the hierarchy chart and maybe check the value of the others in the category. That and spending a few hours researching stuff braught me to the conclusion that those three items were the best value I could get on something that will play all the new games pretty well without being too expensive. But have a look through Tomshardware as it's a really helpful site.

Hope that helps, good luck and have fun.
