m3lisk
Yeah, just go to www.ati.com and download the latest driver for your vid card, as there is no reason for you to have graphics problems with a 9800. Also, try reinstalling the game, and google "oblivion patch 1.1.511 download", which will fiz almost all bugs with the game. If it is heat issues, which it shouldn't be, get a cooling fan for the part that is overheating. Don't know which part it is? Feel around, when you develop 1st degree burns after oblivion crashes, you'll know. j/k. Move some cables around to increase air flow within your case. mudmanc4
I may be too late or out of line, but I have a 9800 pro as well. now , the although the card was a very good gpu, it does have haet issues! The small fan they ship w/ overheats , and burns out. I had this prob w/ a 9700pro, as well. I went and spent 30. bucks on http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l125/mudmanc4/th_Image40.jpg]THIS FAN[/url],and have had no problems scince :) BTW, the KB in the background was before the G-15 Again , my card did some very strange things during the fan meltdown , such as yours is doing. Card shown 9800pro
Abramul
Is there an easy way to monitor GPU temperature?
Guest Tessera
I had this prob w/ a 9700pro, as well. I went and spent 30. bucks on THIS FAN,and have had no problems scince :) Yep, yep... that's the same fan that I installed on an old 9800 Pro... the Zalman all-copper fan. I wouldn't even -try- to run that video card with its stock cooling fan... it's well-known to be absolutely inadequate (and loud). They break down often and are the number one reason for all those burnt-out RADEON 9800's out there.
