VikingII
I have the mod Weapon VFX Remover: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=297 Im seeking for the same solution, that suppresses the VFX on the characters while a sustained spell is active (like Combat Magic or Indomitable). The constant shines on my character are annoying with the pass of the time.

XTR3M368
Dragon Age Rules Fixpack I have better luck with this one. You will have to pick and choose which parts of this file you like but the way it has the VFX go on for a couple of seconds and go off on the model is nice. It let's you know that it is working. It is also configurable for how long the activated VFX stays on before going off again. I left mine at the default 3 seconds.
Thandal
I second the "DA Rules Fixpack" as a good pick. The only one I really miss is when my BattleMage uses "Elemental Chaos". That is fun to watch with all the effects turn-on!

I have a question, I only choose 4 of the "tweaks", but, can I put ALL of the "fix" without conflict between them?
XTR3M368
I am using like 10 of the fixes and 7 of the tweaks. The rest conflicted with other mods I am using. Just delete or don't copy the folders of the fixes you don't want before putting the fix pack in your override.
