Improved Gomorrah

I concur! Just reached this location last night and I must say... all hype out front, not much going on inside. I expected to be fighting for shoulder room, nudging my way to the other side of the crowded floor. Instead, there were three people inside, a bunch of empty cages, and many empty rooms, no dancers on the floor or anything!

What I'd like to see (and I'm sure many others would as well):

1. More customers, both gambling and wandering.

2. Dancers! :woot:

3. Maybe some people tied up to the metal cage in the center of the main floor. I know it can be done, Obsidian managed to get NPC's crucified... it must be possible to have some folk in a precarious BDSM situation... ;)

The problem is the game engine. It does not handle crowds very well. If you put over a dozen people into a single cell your FPS will drop like a rock. So if you have 3 companions, plus the 3 or four other customers, the doorman, receptionist, 3 dealers and a couple of guards or pit bosses you have used up the quota for that cell.

One possible solution is static actors. Objects that look like people, but do not move - or not move much and with no AI. Say a man at the bar holding a drink. every so often his arm lifts up for a second, then back down - add 2 or 3 in different parts of the room with different skins. Another 2 or 3 at a roulette table, one of them reaches out like he is placing a bet from time to time. And others that are similar. these are not really NPCs as they are a part of the scenery, just there to make it look more crowded..

Some real casino sound effects would help too. You don't hear radios in casinos, just a hubub of sound, much of it actually scripted to get people to gamble.
