A lot of the mods require certain files be downloaded, the main one I see is upgrading to the latest Official Oblivion Patch.I've tried installing the following patches from http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm : SHIVERING ISLES PATCH v1.2.0416ShiveringIsles_v1.2.0416English.exe (1.1 MB) 04/30/2007 OBLIVION PATCH v1.2.0416Oblivion_v1.2.0416English.exe(5.1 MB) 04/30/2007This patch is for North American (English) versions. And they do not work, I get a message saying that the old file was not found, so the update was not done.Then I seeming successfully install this patch: OBLIVION UK/EUROPEAN/AUSTRALIAN PATCH v1.2.0416Oblivion_v1.2.0416UK.exe (4.8 MB) 05/07/2007This patch is for UK/Europe/Australia (English versions only).And Oblivion doesn't load. I've tried restarting my computer and uninstalling all mods but the only way I can play Oblivion is to uninstall and reinstall. They are the patch for the main game by itself and the patch for the main with Shivering Isles installed into it. You want to install only one of them. Completely uninstall the game, and then reinstall it. Then install Shivering Isles onto the unpatched game. Then get the Shivering Isles patch only. It's technically for "the game with Shivering Isles installed", which is what you'll have.
