sleaaels
Hmm there was someone else who had this problem, but i can't find that post, have you tried putting all your settings to the lowest? and do you get strange steaks/glitches when you play? and the usual: update your video driver.Sorry I can't really help you with anything more, someone more exprienced is going to have to post here. CapoeiristaDK
It happens to me too... I heard that this would happen with the will-o and the storm astr, because of some mod has accidently given them ragdoll skeletons (wich they shouldnt have). But I don't remember where i heard that - and sorry, besides removing all mods and reinstalling oblivion (and your mods except the one that vulks up?????) i don't know how to fix it. What I do when I see a will-o-the-wisp? I run, man, I run! But don't let anyone near you kill it, cause it will crash your game too. I'm about to test the freaking storm astr crash now. CapoeiristaDK
I found it... In my case it is the "realistic ragdolls and force v2" mod that causes the trouble. If you're also running this mod, or any other ragdoll mod, this may be your lucky day.Don't delete the mod - it's fantastic. Just go to your oblivion -> data -> meshes -> creatures directory and delete the "willothewisp" and the "stormatronach" directories. Now the two friends no longer have the wrong skelletons - problem solved! The last thing you need to do is: Go to blackwood and nail those glowing bastards! Guest Tessera
This problem is specific to certain RADEON video cards. It also happens sometimes near Oblivion gates and similarly glowing objects... particularly at night. Head over to the ATI website and search for their Oblivion beta driver. I'm pretty sure that they released a fix for this issue recently.
CapoeiristaDK
This is how it looks... And I can tell you how it smells: It smells like victory! ;) This problem is specific to certain RADEON video cards. It also happens sometimes near Oblivion gates and similarly glowing objects... particularly at night. Head over to the ATI website and search for their Oblivion beta driver. I'm pretty sure that they released a fix for this issue recently. I know... It makes my game crash too often. But I can enshure you that deletion of those two ragdoll skelletons solve this specific crash problem. It crashed every time i hit a will-o, now I just pierced 3...!
