Point Lookout Crashes on save/autosave.

The title pretty much says it all, I have no problem getting to point look out et-cetera. Once I got there I saved as I usualy do when i get to any other region I am unfamilier with. When I did so, the game shut down. I figured it to be a small crash that sometimes most fallout players get. So I started the game back up got back to Point lookout and saved again. Same problem. I then went back a second time and wondered if I could just enter a building and see if it auto saved for me.. I still crashed. I run a few mods, nothing to serious. Such as FWE ( Fallout Wonderers Edition) And MMM ( Matts Monsters mods..) I Disabled these mods and tried again.. I crashed when saving again.. This kind of makes it very hard to play Point Lookout if I can't save.. As I used cheats to make my health very low, so a bullet to the chest or head or a pack of dogs can easily bring me down.. Anyone else have a problem like this, if so please tell me if you have a solution.

It's generally regarded as SOP to turn off all automatic saving in Bethesda games in the options menu. Stupid, I know, but it does avoid a lot of grief. Just do manual saves, but if they are also causing problems then I'm foxed.

Problem solved, you actualy... Believe it or not have to go to GNR and pick up the fat man and aim at your feet. Then blow your self up. When it loads to your last save it somehow fixes the problem of crashing when you save. I found this out on.

Origionaly found out by Waxfruit. Amazing slash akward way to fix a bug but it suprisingly worked...

So to anyone having the problem I was having, there you have it. Blow yourself up.. lol
