OpenWorldAddict
Ever go beneath Mournhold in Morrowind? Underneath city you find sewers, the parts of the city that were buried long ago, then under all that you find ancient dwemer ruins. Mournhold has a rich history and it shows when you go underground. Ever been to the Imperial City? Underneath it you find sewers, but if you dig deeper you find Aylied ruins. The Imperial city has a rich history and it shows when you go underground. What about the cities in the oldest province in the land. The only city that has an underground is Markarth. There is nothing beneath the sewers of riften, nothing under Solitude except the catacombs of the wolf queen under the Temple of the Eight. There is nothing underneath Windhelm, and nothing underneath Whiterun. I would like that to be changed. In this post I will list my idea for a whiterun quest that takes you into the low mountain that whiterun sits on.oh, and this mod should be compatible with sewers of skyrim. Underneath Whiterun there are a network of caves. These caves can be reach through an entrance at the top of the stream that flows through Whiterun's outer defenses. It can also be reached through an underwater opening in one of pools that sit just above the shrine of talos. A third entrance can be found through a secret door inside the catacombs of the Hall of the Dead. A final entrance should be found somewhere in the sewers. Deep inside the caves is an ancient nordic ruin that has been invaded by Falmer and their pets Chaurus. One exit of the tomb leads you up through a hidden one way door into Dragonsreach. The other leads into a small blackreach like caverns with a large dwemer ruin taking up most of the cavern. Somewhere in the Dwemer ruin is a large arena. The quest begins a week after completing Andur's Arkay Amulet http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Andurs%27_Arkay_Amulet. You are told that the priest andur wishes to talk to you, and he tells you that more undead have appeared in the catacombs and he wants you to find out where they are coming from. While searching the catacombs you find the secret entrance to the caves and you adventure begins. Alternate: Of course at any time if you find any other entrance to the caves, the quest begins that way instead. Inside the caves you find draugr, as well as thieves and vampires, using these caves as some sort of underground highway. Then you find the nordic ruin, and in the first large room you immediately stumble upon a large battle between Falmer and the resident Draugr. During that battle your quest updates suggesting you try to discover how the Falmer got in anyway. As you explore the dungeon you find several rooms already in the control of the Falmer (although not after you go through), and other rooms untouched by the Falmer that still has draugr in the sarcophagi. After defeating the Falmer shaman at the end of the ruin, you'll find a note on its body that has orders to collect draugr corpses and to bring them back to 'their' city in a nearby cavern. That updates your quest log telling you to search the ruins for the entrance to this cavern. When you find it, you find it is like blackreach, except much, much smaller. Before you get a good look at the massive dwemer ruins within, you (and your followers) are knocked unconscious from behind. You come to in a large dwemer prison cell. Soon after awakening, the prison door opens and a falmer speaking in horrible common tongue orders you and your followers to follow him. He leads you down a large corridor with a lot of other falmer guarding the exits, and then he brings you to a large door and tell you to pass through. On the other side you find this large Dwemer arena that has many traps on the floor (spinning blades, flame traps, and more.) There in the Arena you are forced to fight larger and larger groups of bandits, draugr, dwemer automatons, and of course falmer with only the equipment you can find on the arena floor. After surviving the arena gauntlet, you now have to reclaim your stuff and manage to escape the dwemer ruins. Anyway, that is my idea for Whiterun Underground. Soon I'll be posting a thread for Windhelm Underground.
