How do I use New Vegas mod manager?

have had no luck. The author says mod manager is essential but I honestly can't figure out how it works and there are no instructions with the download (I guess I am an idiot because no one seems to need them). Can anyone help me out here?

I haven't used FNV Mod Manager yet, but if it is similiar to FO3 MM then it should work like this:

When you download a mod, open NVMM, click on Package Manager on right side, click on Add FoMod in the package Manager window, find the mod you downloaded (packManager should extract file and add the .esp file to the main window), click on the new mod in the Pack window and then click on Activate....close Package manage window........the new mod .esp can be moved in the main window by click/dragging it up and down in the load order.
