A more realistic wasteland...

I would like to see a mod where guns are very very difficult to obtain. Since New Vegas has made melee improved, different highway men, gangs, and other non important factions would be armed with a majority of melee weapons. Ammo and guns should be very expensive and very hard to find in the wasteland, this will make a more realistic and more in depth gameplay for the player. Along with hardcore mode, melee weapons would bring a greater challenge, rather than just going out and shooting someone in the head inside of a store and then robbing them capless. Ammo should be found in small quantities unless bought in a store where the prices are expensive per bullet/ammunition type. The player will also have a goal of saving up for that new gun and will make taking large factions(EX. NCR) over.(Which was very easy once you get a gun.)

yes,I like this idea,this should bring in a more MAD MAX 2 feeling to the game,but then,caps would be useless,the ammo would be used as currency...and we have already seen that in another game *COF*Metro 2033*COF*.

 

The only guns that the player should be able to get could be:

-9mm pistol (widespread before the war)

-Hunting Rifle (should bring in the parts to gun runners and they should make it into a few days)

-All the cowboy guns...

-Once he gets to boomer base,the more advanced guns (LMG,Sniper Rifle,Assault carbine) should be available.....at extreme prices.
