LauraMarx Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Hello, As the title says, I am unable to install it from the disc. Specifically, I am unable to run the setup. I click either "OblivionLauncher.exe" or "Setup.exe" and I get the following error: This application is not compatible with the installed operating system or machine configuration.Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better. Certain virtual environments are not supported. See http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=os&c=1000 for further information. Wether or not Windows 8.1 is better than Windows 2000 is a matter for debate I guess but :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: I tried running it in compatability mode, with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. I got the same error every time. I tried running it as administrator, and got the same error. I tried going to the link provided, and it just says "Please start the application under a real Windows™ environment, using Windows™ 98SE, Windows 2000™ or better." I assure you my Windows is not a forgery :laugh: Looking around online, a lot of people are having this problem, but unfortunately no solutions are forthcoming...
