booshington Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 so, elder McNamara is dead, and i need to complete the quest with veronica. I'd normaly use the command resurrect, but his body is gone. ive tried to use Prid <baseid> moveto player, but it dosnt work, any ideas?

soot00 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 One mod I hope is converted soon is CASM. Auto saves every 5 minutes and makes 10 or more (user based) save slots. Comes very handy when the game bugs out like the OP's.

I'm tring to do the "oh my papa" quest but melissa got killed by deathclaws 15 game hours ago and her corpse is missing. I tried going back to a previous save and hit~ then clicked on her to find her code so i could ~resurrect but it just says unrecognized identifier. C0rrup73d mentioned something about npc id. Is that the 8 digit hex code for the player? If so how do you type in the console comand to resurrect them? Ive only ever clicked on the corpses before after typing the resurrect comand to set the identifier. I tried it in parenthases, out of parenthases, in quotes, with the acotr name in quotes followed by the identifier, I have no idea what i'm doing wrong. probably a simple syntax issue but i dont know. If it isnt possible then whats the console command to find the questid so i can player.setstage on to the next step?

Indeed, using the console can and likely will disable achievements for the timebeing. Simple solution - once you have used the console for what you want, save your game, exit right out of the game and then re-start the game and reload the save you just did - you'll be eligable for achievements again. This is because the achievement blocking with Steam and use of Consoles.. is only applicable for the current game session your on - I have unlocked achievements on my game even though I have used the console.. They dont really serve any purpose anyway. What booshington and I need to know is how do you resurect a mob when there is no corpse. IE what is the correct syntax for the ~resurrect command.In my case the mobs identifier is 000e5e51. However "~resurrect 000e5e51 <enter>" gives an error message for missing or unknown id. Ive also tried ~placeateme 000e5e51 1 (then my current x, y, and z cords) and ~player.placearme 000e5e51 to summon her or her corpse to my loc. All give incorrect or unknown form id error mesages. And ~movetoqt just takes me to the spot where she was before the deathclaw riped her apart.I'm assuming that its a syntax error but i'm not sure. Any help other than "Load a previouse save" would be appreciated greatly.If its not possible to rez without a corpse then what is the command to find out a quest id to use with the ~player.setstage <questid> command?
