I was kind of hoping to find a mod or some one with the know how in altering the 1st/3rd person in such a way that when your looking from 1st person perspective your model is still drawn and when looking down towards the ground, you will look down upon your body, seeing what you have equipped and are currently wearing.

I have seen a mod for Oblivion that try to mimic this. I guess it wasn't successful. Unfortunately, it should be Bethesda that implements and patches this into the engine of Oblivion, Fallout3 and New Vegas.

We have gross 3rd person view (clipping, moon-walking, static and spasmic animations with no diagonal movement, etc) We could have at least have some decent 1st person view.

It would be wonderful if someone could mod this to the game, but I am sure it is not possible to do this properly.

I think all you'd have to really do is just make it so your body doesn't "ghost" when you zoom in on it, and then maybe a few extra tweaks. Now how to actually go about doing that, I've got no idea... I do remember that Oblivion mod, but like ancalimonungol said, I don't think it ever really caught on. That said, I would love to see someone at least attempt it.

The way that's done is putting the 3rd person camera in a certain place, like right next to your character's head.

You make it sound simple :whistling: . I fear it will be a bit more then just that.

In 3rd person view, you can see the body tilt forward/backwards as you try to look up or down.

It will need to be attached to a part of the model ( head or better yet in front of it ) but I don't know if thats possible, I assume that the camera now is fixed to the center of the whole model not a part or the model.

I've been been digging around in a few mods that alter/tweak the 3rd person view, but I'm no code monkey and can't grasp whats going on in it.
