OpenWorldAddict
Most shipping of goods and passengers in Skyrim's interior is done by carriage, and this makes sense. Most of the waterways are not good for the passage of cargo or people. This is because of the many rapids and waterfalls that dot skyrim's watersheds. (can you image a cargo ship or ferry going down the Colorado river, or over the Niagara falls?). There is an exception to this. There are docks (and a warehouse in Riften. If a ship left riften, then it would have to tye up in Ivarstead, for beyond Ivarstead the waterways go down a series of large waterfalls... wait a sec... tye up to what? I am requesting that a pier (or docks) should be added to the Ivarstead waterfront. It doesn't need to be very big, but it needs to have places that potential arriving ships from Riften can tye up at. The pier does not even need to extend out into the lake. Many piers are built along the shore. There also should some kind of shack where arriving goods are stored, and maybe even a guard to watch over them and protect the pier and the docked ships from thieves. For immersion you might want to add a ship already tyed up.
MadModderJess
I really like this idea, and I'll give it a go. Shouldn't be hard. I'm working on a bunch of other things, though, so it may not be right away.
