So Could you adapte the armor and i (or you of course) will sent him the new esp ? I just want to create a mod with the grey fox charater. I had his permission for Fallout 3 but finnally, i do it for New vegas. I will don't upload it before his permission for NV. whitetiger2695 Posted July 26, 2013 Share Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) I want to start by saying if a mod is for personal use and not going to be uploaded its totally fine to do this porting etc. That being said i have successfully ported this mod on my own to new vegas but a part of the mod is missing and not sure how to correct.Basically the suit itself ports over flawlessly the issue comes with the barrier affect (electrical discharge from the suit) I cant seem to port it over.What i think the issue is.... Normally in fallou 3 you would buy this item at craterside supply or rivet city. These do not exist in new vegas and so that is where im stuck ive successfully gotten the suit into new vegas though following a very simple porting tutorial on youtube.this tutorial will help you port almost any fallout 3 mod to new vegas and vice versa.A problem i have found is that most of these modders seem non existent now. Ive attempted to get a hold of a few modders for permissions to rerelease a mod of theres but there has never been in answer on forum posts or in private messeges from these modders. However if you plan on using it just for yourself its fully ok to tamper with it just be careful to keep an original backup of the mod in case you totally screw stuff up as i have a few times. The tutorial video is only 6 or so minutes long if that helps with how long this takes. Its so simple anyone could do it just following the tutorial. I do suggest familiarizing yourself with the geck and how to manually place an item in the game world as that is one of the final 2 steps in the tutorial.(note: when placing an item in the game world be aware of your other mods such as containers bases etc. If you set items in those cells they could float pretty high in the air making it so you need to use the tcl (toggle clipping) command in order to reach them lol. MAJOR NOTE: please do not use the linked tutorial to rerelease a mod without authors permission this is intended to help those that want to use a mod for personal use and nothing more. Unless otherwise stated on the mods discription. Majority of mod authors dont mind personal use but none of them like their mod being changed and then released by someone else. SO DO NOT DISTRIBUTE IF YOU CHANGED THE MOD WITHOUT PERMISSON.
