GECK Window Problem

Hi people,

I've just downloaded GECK and was really looking forward to trying abit of modding. I was quickly stopped tho.

When I have loaded the files, and want to modify a weapon for example, the window in which to change name, dmg, etc. is too big for my screen and I am unable to press the "OK" button, so that my changes are saved. I've tried getting the "change-window-size-arrows" to appear but no no luck. Any idea how to change the size of the window?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look in the GECKPrefs.ini located in your /My Documents/My Games/FalloutNV/ folder. Under the first section "General" it lists some window sizes, such as "Object Window". There are 4 values listed for each I see that may help. X/Y would be positioning and W/H would be window size I'm thinking. So check the W/H values and change any of them that are higher than your resolution. If all else fails, do as Corejob suggested and delete that ini file to see if GECK will redetect your resolution.

Hm, I have this exact same problem but my Screen Resolution is 1920x1080, 16:9 Aspect ratio & none of the above problems work. It's as if the window scaling were stored in the GECK.exe.

Oh, a rather annoying fix is using Tab & Enter keys to find the OK button.

If you can get your vertical resolution to 800 then you should just be able to see the OK button (it will be clipped by the bottom of the screen but usable). I'm running in 1280x800 (16:10 Widescreen) and its just enough to use GECK. Edited by drakeelvin

I have had this problem to, I solved it by setting the list/information field in the windows xp interface on the side which will give you just enough space to manage to reach the save button. You may still have to push the properties window in the geck up as high as possible.
