Meldiocre
ok so.. i installed enhanced hotkeys, then found it didnt work (it only acknowledged the "2" slot on one of the wheels.. maybe i was doing it wrong.. dunno) so i unclicked the esp and tried another hotkey mod. this one was horribly complicated, so i unchecked that one. then i had no hotkeys. so i got the bright idea to delete the enhanced hotkeys INI file. then i got the brighter idea to use the enhanced hotkeys uninstall file. at this point, when i push 1-9 with no mods enabled, i get no hotkeys. :/ i am a sad sad panda. anybody know wtf i did wrong or how to get back to the default hotkeys? i use darnified ui, if it matters. Smooth613
It's likely the reason you had troubles with Enhanced Hotkeys is because you didn't read the documentation. (Your uninstallation problems affirm this) Or you didn't have the proper version of OBSE. It requires OBSE 18 or 19 final, not the betas. I've been using this mod for quite a while now with no problems. I suggest double checking your installation and your version of OBSE. If you still have problems and insist on uninstalling then you need to follow the ReadMe. It's mentioned that you will need to take a certain course of action when uninstalling to ensure your original hotkeys work again. Check the documentation, that's what it's there for. Meldiocre
wait, so.. let me understand your statement. because i have a problem uninstalling, it means i didn't read the documentation and follow the mysterious "certain course of action"? if you actually read my post (i know 5 lines is kind of TLDR, but bear with me) i stated that i followed the uninstallation steps as outlined in the documentation, to no effect. with regards to obse, i would assume that the latest version is that which can be found on the official site (http://obse.silverlock.org/). i have never had anything but this version, as this is my 5th day playing oblivion. i realize i have done *something* wrong, but your diagnosis of "you didnt read" is utterly false. i read EVERYTHING, i just may not understand all of it - which is what prompted my decision to uninstall in the first place. Smooth613
Sometimes I really hate that this website does not timestamp edits. There are two things that will fix the problem. The uninstallation file, mentioned in the ReadMe, which alters your Oblivion.ini to rebind the original keys. Or you should be able to delete the ini completely and allow Oblivion to create a new one.
Meldiocre
er.. i didnt edit anything. everything you just said to do is in my original post - i already did it. if you dont believe my post is original, PM one of the mods to ask. they can see if i edited it on this type of board and let you know. so.. thanks for the "help," i guess, and the accusation. Smooth613
I can make mistakes too, it's possibly an over site on my part, I'll admit that. I thought I read your post thoroughly the first time, maybe not, I can give anyone the benefit of a doubt. I'm normally a rather helpful person around here so that comment was out of character for me. Either way I'm more interested in helping than bickering. So I'll just forget and apologize for my snide comment earlier. In the end though I have nothing more to offer. The only two ways I know of to fix your problem are already listed. I see no other reason your original hotkeys do not work if the above has been followed.
Meldiocre
apology accepted. i understand where youre coming from. ignorant people who dont read the available material and then spam the boards are probably very annoying. which is why i took care to say i read about the uninstallation file. :P thanks for trying to assist. i suppose i can live without hotkeys. if i could figure out how to configure the enhanced hotkeys, i could reinstall that, but im a dummy. (no amount of reading the documentation will help me there, before you say it, haha)
