Enclave (NCR) Commander Mod for New Vegas?

I enjoyed the Enclave Commander mod from Fallout 3 to no end. Fallout 3 itself featured several battles of epic proportion and the opportunity to use and destroy the vertibirds that we’ve all come to love. Now I must inquire, where has that all gone? I realize that it would be ‘unfriendly’ to lore if there was an army of vertibirds dominating the Mojave, yet I think having one helicopter unload a battalion of NCR troops and rangers while another unleashes an arsenal of nuclear firearms upon ANY enemy, ranging from a handful of geckos to a horde of Legion soldiers would be the greatest thing there could be in the game. Is there a modder worthy of my quest?

 

Note: I have the attention span of a hummingbird and the patience of a five year old, I can’t mod for beans.

 

Let’s make New Vegas as epic as it can be. For the Republic (or whoever floats your boat)!

All those off the chart eye popping mods such as Enclave oommander, Real Time Settler, Fallout Wanderers edition etc is only possible via the script extender known as FOSE Without the latter modders are limited in what they can do..

 

I haven't heard any news of FOSE being released to the public for New Vegas yet (or perhaps it's being tested as we speak). Once FOSE becomes available for New Vegas, expect the same amazing mods to port over.

I know. FOSE is truly a script extender of legend. I happened to notice that a certain RTS (Real Time Settler) mod is currently under construction for our beloved game. There are not files or images as of yet. It is possible that FOSE is currently in-process however it is equally likely that Akroocla (or whatever) simply added the link to reserve the name for New Vegas.

Indeed. The modders are a tight knit community. Will not surprise me if FOSE for new vegas is in the works and is currently being beta tested by the myriad of modding teams from RTS, Enclave Commander, Wanders edition etc. before being released to us gamers.

Even something basic as the user interface. Compare DarN's user interface mod for Fallout 3 as he has different versions for FOSE and no FOSE. Difference is night and day.

I get the same feeling. However, I am dissapointed that when you request for ranger support, you are provide a single NCR ranger and not a battalion of them. I'd even accept a "Ranger with a big iron on his hip". Sadly, Obsidian has left me wanting more!
