exportforce
Hello, I am just fiddling around with the G.E.C.K. and I am surprised how much you can do with it.But I wonder, how can I use already existant stuff like icons for new things ? For example, to get warm with the editor I wanted to create a new ammo based on the 10mm ammo and a new one handed gun based on the 10mm pistol. So I wanted to use those models. But all I can do is browse for files. I can not just use the same paths or force them, that the original file uses or is there a trick ? Also, how can I add a new NPC onto a place ?I don't know the coords for those... thx :)
WastelandAssassin
if i understand what you want correctly, then all you need to do is open the item you want as the base, change it's ID to something special, and when asked if you want to create a new item, say yesthan you will have both the original item, and a new version that you can modify as you like, without damaging or changing the original itemso you can modify everything about the new item, but you won't have to build it from scratch  hope this is what you are looking for :)
exportforce
Yes but alredy found out by accident ^^ Thanks :) Now I am trying to add a character to set up a Shop and a dialogue (starting small to get everything started for a quest). But somehow I don't manage to get a NPC into any location. All I managed was to create e.g. new Items that even NPCs are sometimes using. Also, if I am creating a dialogue and wanna add audio to it, what about the lips ?Will those be animated alone or do I need to script those too ?
