tonkrogerio Posted November 1, 2010 Share Posted November 1, 2010 I have had some random problems with land rising and some missing building parts, was wondering if anyone could help. the link bellow will show you what i mean in depth. http://s324.photobucket.com/albums/k334/TonkRogerio/MOTO/ The new door in bravil BC is missing the bottom part as you can see, and there is a hill under the "the lost spires" building that creates problems :( i don't have UL yet and i really can't understand what the problem might be, i have tried to uninstall it by saving, quilting, uninstall, saving, etc and the hill goes away but as soon as i install it, it comes back straight away. David Brasher Posted November 2, 2010 Share Posted November 2, 2010 It sounds like you are saying that everything is fine until you install Bravil BC. And when you remove Bravil BC the problems go away. So the problem is in one of two locations:(1) Bravil BC(2) A mod conflicting with Bravil BC. The Better Cities mods are very popular and have probably been well debugged, so your problem it is most likely a conflict with it. You might try using the OBMM Old Conflict Detector to get some clues on what mods to suspect of conflicting with Bravil BC. Otherwise, you might try keeping the BC mod on, but systematically deactivating large groups of mods and testing to see when the problem goes away. When you find the bad mod group, you can narrow it down further by activating and deactivating smaller groups of mods within it to isolate the one problem mod. Not simple answers to follow up on, but there are so many mods in existence that perhaps nobody will be able to glance at your mod list and know the answer. tonkrogerio Posted November 2, 2010 Author Share Posted November 2, 2010 well, the bravil missing mesh is nothing compared to the lost spires hill that appears when ever the mod is active, that one is defo worst because it completely deforms the guild building a you can see in the pictures. It has to be the lost spires pluggin that creates the hill when creating the guild building because there is nothing there before the plugin is active. Scroll down to the Compatibility section to verify for yourself. According to your LO you are not using the compatibility patch provided for the two, Better Cities - The Lost Spires.esp. According to the BOSS Masterlist, you have The Lost Spires.esp in the wrong location. It should be loading before any and all Better Cities ESPs. Using the compatibility patches provided to you and properly sorting your LO will likely solve your issues. All the patches are in the folders starting with 30, 31, 32 & 33 . Use them in addition to the original mod's ESP which they are patching.The Load order for the Patches is: - Mod to Patch - Better Cities City - Patches Documentation, it's your friend. tonkrogerio Posted November 2, 2010 Author Share Posted November 2, 2010 Smooth613: well i had the boss sort it out for me but i changed the load order to see if the problem went away for slots spires, also i didn't use the BC lost spires pluggin because it says "Compatibility patch for The Lost Spires and Better Cities if you want to use the Open Cities version.Not needed if you use only the regular city version." so i assumed it was only to be used with open better cities :S but i did have it turned on when the problem first occurred, then i turned it off so i have tried all mixtures of both of your suggestions before posting. schijnn: i thought that it might be like that, the thing that put me off was when i saw pic 2 "hill 3" the guild was slightly elevated and i could see underneath the building making it look like a glitch instead of artistic licensing :S if you are telling me that you can also see under the building to the right hand side of the entrance then i will just assume that they still need to sort that out and i will be relieved to know that it isn't a problem caused by me :P. I had SI set to load up with my mod below it on the list (as I was using some of the SI resources) and what I got was a weird combination of my land mixed with SI land popping up all over the place (especially the LOD land from SI) as well as random trees from SI growing out of my buildings. Disabled SI and all was kosher (except for the normal bugs I get with LOD land in my mod - but that's a different topic.) I would say there is probably two mods running that effect the same spot of land, thus it is trying to load resources from both. My 2 copper...
