dieangel68
I'm currently running on Windows 7 x64 And i was told of the "wonders" of using the GECK face editor to make custom face presets and finally make GOOD female character faces. I've been following some instructions on how to add a new preset face. But i encounter a big problem, not only the face preview window doesn't update itself at all, but after a minute or so it crash the GECK! Has anyone encountered a problem like this one? Bean00
I haven't tried editing faces yet, I've been mainly editing interiors...but yes, so far GECK is a piece of crap. Can't believe how awful this editor is so far.

On my machine (Windows Vista, 32-bit) it doesn't crash when editing faces and updates normally. What exactly are you doing (step by step)?
dieangel68
Okay the totally unresponsive Geck preview was caused by the Mumble overlay, it works much better now but is still quite crashtastic, seems to crash randomly as you edit a face. WuphonsReach
When does GECK *not* crash randomly? (Edit, save, backup, edit, save, backup, crash, reload, edit, save, crash, restart... Always have previous versions of the ESP that you can fall back on.)

WuphonsReach
Do you also use Windows 7 64-bit?No, WinXP 32-bit. I'm just airing out my long-standing grievance with map-making / mod-making tools that crash. The map tool for Call of Duty: United Offensive wasn't that stable either. So I learned a long time ago to make lots and lots of backups with multiple versions.
