davidlallen
The backups have a filename like "yourmod.esp.0.bak". Copy it into the main data folder (up one level) and rename to "yourmod.esp". Then you should be able to load it.

davidlallen
I don't quite understand. After you rename the file to end in "esp", Windows File Explorer shows it with file type "Bethesda Plugin Data File", right? Then which program is showing it as a "bak" file? Are you able to bring up this file in geck?
davidlallen
I think you may be having some difficulty in renaming the file in Windows File Explorer. Please see the attached screenshot. You need to be able to enter a new file extension. I have clicked on the filename and highlighted the file extension. For you, I guess the file extension must be "bak". Change it to "esp". davidlallen
Sorry, I am not able to understand what the problem is. In post #18 you have a bunch of esp files, one of which is shamrock.esp. Can you open any of these esp files in geck? Assuming you can open those in geck, what happens when you use the same method to open shamrock.esp in geck?
