Has anyone found the script for the Meltdown perk?

I can't find anything in the GECK to do with meltdown other than the perk name and description.

I'd like to do stuff with Meltdown perk... seems a bit weird that you get a green plasma explosion from zapping someone with a red laser rifle or blue gauss projectile. Plus the best thing about energy weapons is disintergrating people, but with meltdown the person doesn't disintergrate, instead the limbs explode.

I'm thinking of changing the effect so that the victim disintergrates as normal and the explosion will be made invisible and have no force, it won't send things flying it will just do damage, and perhaps it will have flame effect so it sets people on fire. So it will be like the disintergration is super-hot and being too close to the disintergration is deadly. I'll probably also remove the gauss rifle from weaopns that it effects, because it doesn't really make sense, and the gauss rifle is deadly enough without having ability to simultaniously explode a group of 4 people with one shot.

But I can't do any of this until I find the damn script...

Having had to look into this today for my Deadlier Explosives mod...

You probably won't be able to do anything with this perk (such as changing the effect) unless you *also* change the effect for either the Plasma Grenade or Plasma Mine explosion (not sure which of the 2 it's using, but those are the candidates). Or maybe FOSE will let you hook in to that.

Looks like the Meltdown perk is hardcoded inside the FalloutNV executable because the Meltdown perk just says "entry point". They just re-used the existing explosions to make it work. (There are 3 explosions in GECK that are green fire... it's one of those 3.)

You could try it. Create the form list with only the weapons you want the meltdown perk for. Then edit the perk entry and add a condition using GetEquipped and your form list. Seems like it should work.

If you need an example, look at the Travel Light perk. It has a similar condition, except it wants whatever is GetEquipped to NOT be in the form list.
